P0.7 VIRTUAL PIXEL (Marketing P0.7)

The reality:

The physical LED pitch is larger (typically around P1.2 to P1.4).

Software algorithms create additional “virtual” pixels to simulate a P0.7 display.

How virtual pixels are created:

Adjacent LEDs share brightness and colour control, allowing software to generate extra

perceived pixels that do not physically exist.

Performance:

• Looks acceptable from a distance

• Slight softness when viewed up close

• Text edges are less crisp than real P0.7

Pixel Density Reference:

Fewer physical pixels per square metre — resolution is software-enhanced.

Cost:

Lower — fewer LEDs are required.

Beware

Are you being misled by “Virtual P0.7”?

A display advertised as P0.7 virtual is not the same as a true P0.7 real-pixel display.

In most cases:

P0.7 Virtual P1.2 Real (Physical)
